Intervista per Viva Pagliuca! 14/03/2007

Continuing to talk about last year's scandal - during your career, when, in your opinion, was football "cleaner"? And "dirtier"? Did the players talk about this?
GP: Certainly years ago things that went on recently did not happen, football was cleaner, there were fewer interests involved in the game. Yes, I must say that we did talk about this among ourselves.

A lot of people in the sport performs some sort of a rite before games, some joking, some more serious. Were there things of this sort in the teams that you played? What did you do? And how do you celebrate victories?
GP: My personal rite is the sign of the cross. After the victories, we celebrate, but with measure.

Do you think that football has significance and influence in politics? Why?
GP: Yes, there are teams that are more influential than others. I don't know how to explain why, it's always been like that!!

Gianluca, are you religious? And Aurora?
GP: Yes, I'm religious, but not practicing, I don't go to church very often. Same for Aurora.

Gianluca, do you keep up with friends from teams where you played before?
GP: In truth, I have kept some friends from every team where I played (Sampdoria, Inter, and Bologna).

What is your favorite movie? And what movie was your favorite when you were little?
GP: My favorite genre is thriller, so any movie in this genre is great. When I was little I loved Zorro.

If a movie were made about Gianluca Pagliuca, which actor can you picture in your role?
GP: I'd like Keanu Reeves.

How did you learn to play the guitar? Do you also sing?
GP: I don't play the guitar, and I don't sing, I am tone-deaf.

Aurora, do you have a hobby? You are in great shape, do you play a sport?
AP: I like going to the pool.

Sundays, when Gianluca plays, do you follow the games or do you prefer to do something else and find out the result later?
AP: I follow Gianluca when Mattia does not want to go to the park to play.

At home, who decides on style, Aurora or Gianluca? For whom is it more important?
GP: As usual, the woman decides.

Where do you like to go out for dinner?
GP: We often go the Round Cafe in Casalecchio and La Braseria in Bologna.

When Gianluca was little, what did he want to be? Goalkeeper? And Aurora? And has Mattia already told you what he will do when he grows up?
GP: Gianluca dreamed of being a football player, Aurora wanted to be a model, and Mattia wants to be Zorro!!
